School Lunches

When we take our break for a drink and a biscuit at choir practice each week, we pay 50p for our refreshments. We also drop a few spare pence into another pot and this money is collected together and used to pay for free school lunches for schoolchildren in Nyandiwa in Kenya. This means that the children get at least one nutritious meal each day; but more than that, it means that they can stay in school all day. This tiny action on behalf of the choir has a huge positive impact on these young people’s lives.

We are only able to do this because  of our Musical Director’s role in Nyandiwa. Angela and her husband Steve have been supporting the village through sustainable Rowley Projects http://www.rowleyprojects.com/ for 15 years now. Rowley Projects achieved charity status 10 years ago.
