We decide to dedicate our Spring Concert to the people of Ukraine after a conversation at a recent rehearsal where we shared our concerns about the atrocities taking place there. We all agreed that, as a Choir, we would like to offer our support. A number of people in Eccles Community Choir are already doing their bit. For example, one member recently put out the call via our Choir WhatsApp/email for goods like nappies & toiletries, to help fill a humanitarian aid van organised by a local Polish Centre. The response at very short notice was astounding. But there’s something special about a community effort.
Our concert at Eccles Parish Church raised a total of £365.50 which we have donated to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal . We would like to thank our generous audience for making this possible. We would also like to thank Eccles Parish Church for waiving their fee, which was added in to the donation.
