On Friday 31st March we gave an evening concert at St Michael’s Bramhall (pictured), to help raise funds for the Mill Youth Centre which provides invaluable resources and support for young people from all backgrounds within the community. (see http://www.themillbramhall.com/index.html)
The Mill includes a recording studio, so it seemed very appropriate to give support through music making. The volunteers and the audience at St Michael’s gave us a very warm welcome. It is a truly wonderful space to sing in; well worth the trip from Eccles to Bramhall. The light and airy attached social facilities and hall were the best to be found anywhere in the region. As well as a raffle there was a craft stall to peruse during the interval whilst we enjoyed our refreshments, plus the home made cake stall provided by skilled choir members- lemon drizzle cake-yum!
Our next performance is our Spring Concert at Eccles Town Hall on Friday 28th April. (see https://ecclestownhall.org/). The concert starts at 7.30pm, tickets £5.00, accompanied children free. Pay on the door. There will be an interval with refreshments, a cake stall and a raffle. It will be a delightful evening, with a range of songs to suit everyone-do come along and join us for this celebration of springtime!
