Holidays at Home

In August we gave two concerts, one in Poynton and one in Bramhall. We were invited to contribute to the ‘holiday at home ‘events for the local community, where people who were unable to get away for the holidays were treated to social activities, lunch, afternoon tea and entertainment. Our performances were warmly received and we made sure to include some well-loved songs for people to join in with. Angela’s solo of ‘Love is a many splendoured thing’ brought tears to a few eyes. We also received great hospitality, with post-performance tea and cakes, giving the choir an opportunity for a little socialisation too!
