Our final event before the summer break is our summer concert at Eccles Town Hall on Friday 18th July. It Starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £4, pay at the door. As well as an excellent programme, with a wide-ranging repertoire and solo performances, there will be a raffle and refreshments will be available at the interval.
The proceeds of the concert will be added to the Lünen fund. The choir intends to travel to our Twin Town in Germany next year and we are doing everything we can to raise some funds to help everyone in the community choir who wants to go to get there. Thanks to the idea from Jackie, we have a cake sale at each choir practice now – volunteers bring (delicious) home-made cakes and the money goes into the fund. We will also be working over the summer to bid for external funding.
