When we meet at Eccles Gateway to practise on Tuesday evening this week, we will be rehearsing the programme for our concert on Friday evening, 19th July. The concert is at Eccles Town Hall and it starts at 7.30pm ( £2.50 including refreshments, free entry for children accompanied by adults). We are calling it a grand concert for several reasons.The first is that James will be accompanying us on a lovely new digital piano (assuming it is delivered in time), which has been purchased by the choir due to very generous grant from Booth Charities Salford, for which we are extremely grateful. The second reason it’s a grand concert is because our concert will also include a selection of solos and duets from members of the choir – something that we do not do very often. Please come along and enjoy the summer music.
